Privacy Policy for Memori: Count Your Days
Effective Date: August 25, 2026

Overview
Memori: Count Your Days ("Memori," "the App," "we," "us") is a daily counter app inspired by the Stoic concept of memento mori. It uses your birthday and a life expectancy figure you provide to estimate and display how many days you may have remaining.
We designed Memori to be as privacy-respecting as possible. In short:
All data stays on your device. We do not operate servers that store, receive, or process your personal information.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone, because we never have access to it in the first place.
The rest of this policy explains this in more detail.
Your Data
Information you provide
When you use Memori, you enter your birthday and a life expectancy estimate. This information is used solely to calculate and display your day count within the App.
This data is stored locally on your device only, using standard iOS on-device storage. It is not transmitted to Nigmatic Sound LLC, to any server we operate, or to any third party. We do not offer iCloud sync, so this data does not leave your device through the App.
Information collected automatically
Memori does not include analytics or tracking software, and does not automatically collect usage data, location data, device identifiers, or any other background telemetry.
Crash and diagnostic data
Like most iOS apps, Memori may generate crash logs if it unexpectedly stops working. These are collected and shared with us, if at all, through Apple's built-in, OS-level diagnostic reporting system — the same mechanism used across iOS apps generally. This is governed by Apple's own privacy practices and Settings, and typically requires your consent within iOS itself (under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements) before any crash data is shared with developers. Crash reports of this kind are aggregated and do not include your birthday or life expectancy inputs, since that data never leaves your device.
How We Use Information
Because your birthday and life expectancy are processed entirely on-device, we do not use, view, analyze, or otherwise process this information as a company. It exists solely to power the countdown calculation shown to you within the App.
Any crash diagnostics we may receive via Apple are used only to identify and fix bugs.
Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Third-Party Services
Memori does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or other external services. There is no in-app advertising.
Data Storage and Security
Your birthday and life expectancy input are stored locally on your device using standard iOS data storage mechanisms. Because this data never leaves your device, its security depends on the security of your device itself (e.g., your device passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, and iOS's built-in protections).
If you delete the App, this locally stored data is removed along with it.
Your Rights and Choices
Since your data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to us:
You can view or change your input at any time within the App's settings.
You can delete your data by deleting the App from your device.
There is no account to create or delete, and no server-side copy of your data for us to provide, correct, or erase, since none exists.
If you are located in a jurisdiction with data protection laws (such as the EU/UK's GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), please note that because Nigmatic Sound LLC does not collect, receive, or process your personal information through this App, most data-subject request mechanisms (access, deletion, portability) are not applicable — there is no copy of your data on our end to act on. If you have questions about this, contact us at the email above.
Children's Privacy
Memori deals with themes of mortality and life expectancy and is intended for users who are comfortable engaging with these topics. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not transmit data off-device in any case, we do not collect children's personal information on any server.
International Users
Memori is available to users globally. Because all personal input remains on your own device and is not transmitted to or stored by Nigmatic Sound LLC, there is no cross-border transfer of your personal data by us in connection with your use of the App.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features that change how data is handled. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App or its App Store listing. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
